Harvard Business School (Harvard University) popularly known as HBS, is situated in Boston, Massachusetts. It was founded in 1908 and remains one of the top-5 business schools in the world. In the year 2010, HBS received its biggest ever international donation of $50 million from the Tata Group of Companies, which will be used towards building a new academic and residential building to be called the Tata Hall. An extremely selective program, HBS had only about 11% of applicants making it to the Class of 2012.
The school offers a Full-time MBA program, and a deferred Full-time MBA program (for college juniors) known as HBS 2+2 Program. 95% of teaching at HBS is almost exclusively imparted through case studies wherein the students prepare and discuss the teaching cases in the class, and the professor acts as a moderator and facilitator.
