School Overview

The Indian School of Business (ISB) is located in India with campuses in Hyderabad and Mohali. It was founded in 1996 by a group of prominent business leaders, entrepreneurs and academicians across the world. The ISB Post Graduate Program commenced in the year 2001 at Hyderabad. ISB is the first Indian B-school which has featured among the top 20 global business schools in the Annual B-School Rankings by Financial Times, London for last 4 years in a row. Its PGP in Management was ranked 13th by FT in the year 2011. The school has academic alliances with various schools like Kellogg School of Management, Wharton School, London Business School, MIT Sloan and Fletcher School. ISB also has 7 Centers of Excellence and each center focuses on issues significant to the emerging markets.

ISB offers programs like Post Graduate Program in Management (1 year for candidates), a Post Doctoral Research Fellowship Program in Management, and a Post Graduate Program in Management for Senior Executives and Managers (PGPMAX). The school also offers Exchange programs with 36 Business schools the world over. ISB's research oriented faculty comprises resident as well as visiting professors. Each of them holds a doctorate. The research output in management at ISB has been one of the highest from Indian institutes from 2000 to 2009 (according to a study in the London Business School paper).

1 preferably from a current supervisor and the 2nd one may come from a former manager, client, or supervisor.		 2 Letters of Reference required from direct supervisors (from an internship or part-time/full-time work experience), professors, advisors, and mentors.
