School Overview
The Leonard N. Stern School of Business (New York University) was founded in 1900. The school is situated at NYU's Washington Square campus in New York City. It is the founding member of Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business, and one of the oldest, well-respected and top-ranked business schools in the world. It was renamed after one of its alumnus and patron, Leonard N. Stern donated a generous $30 million in 1988. The Langone Part-time MBA Program got its current name when a famous investment banker and Home Depot investor Kenneth Langone donated $10 million to Stern in 1999.
Stern offers MBA Programs which are Full-time, Part-time, Executive and Trium Global EMBA Programs (joint program with the London School of Economics and the HEC School of Management, Paris). It offers specializations in Marketing, Finance, Information Systems, Actuarial Science, Economic Policy, Economic Theory, Entertainment Media & Technology, Luxury & Retail, Social Enterprise, Accounting (CPA and General) and others. Stern also offers its own study abroad program IBEX (International Business Exchange Program) which lasts one semester at the top business schools of the world. Admission process at Stern is extremely selective with the admission rate as low as 14%.
