I was part of Gurome's concise GMAT prep batch. Two of us went on to pursue our MBA from Berkeley-Columbia. What I remember about the class is the healthy competition I shared with my class mates. All of us had busy work schedules, but we tried to make the best use of the time in class by encouraging and motivating each other.

When I first started researching business schools, I knew I had to do my MBA from Wharton. The Gurome Intensive Class helped me polish my quant and verbal skills that had largely remained unused for a considerable time. I enjoyed the interaction in the class and also the mentorship that I received outside of class. The coursework at Wharton is killing, but I am enjoying the ride.

When I first came to Gurome, I didnt think there was any way I could break 700 on the GMAT, but with support and hard work, I did. My Gurome story dates back to 2007 when I had signed up for the GMAT Intensive Batch course. What I got out of the course was not just a good GMAT score but some friends for life. One such friend is Ankur Shah. We met at the class, took our GMAT more or less around the same time and now both of us are at Haas, UC Berkeley. If you ask the Gurome alumni, you will hear many such stories where MBA aspirants from the same batch have inspired and motivated each other and have ended up going to the same business school.

I found out about Gurome from a social media channel - Orkut. Being a doctor by profession, I wanted to aim very specific business schools; Gurome helped me identify key programs that matched my area of interest. I worked with Gurome during my business school application and what I really liked about the process was the fact that they took pains to know more about me, dig deep into my background, and guide me on how best to represent myself through the essays. Did they make me work? Yes! But at the end of all those revisions and back and forth, I knew I had just what I wanted.

After researching EWMBA and Executive programs at different B-schools across US, I can confidently say that joining Haas School of Business is one of the better decisions I have made. There are endless resources focused on GMAT prep, MBA admissions essays, MBA program structure, curriculum, school comparisons, etc. For all you MBA aspirants, I only have one advice � get help from Gurome team, they will look after your interest and give their best to work with you to prepare a comprehensive admissions package to any B-school. I think the value add I can bring to the Gurome community is to share my experience so far at Haas and mention things that you MUST DO along with academics during your time at Haas. For all you Haas entrants, congratulations for the Admit and Fun times are ahead.

While I enjoyed the teaching methodology in the GMAT Intensive Class, I also enjoyed interacting with fellow MBA aspirants. I have made some very good friends here. The score of 700 was a big boost to my confidence especially because I had not really been part of an academic setting for a considerable period. The business school application process was a whole new story! The admissions consultants helped calm me down and focus. The entire admissions process was somewhat like a self discovery for me. The coursework at Haas, UC Berkeley, or any business school for that matter is grueling, but I am enjoying every minute of it.

What impresses me about Gurome is how invested these guys are in your goals. I had signed up for one of the admissions consulting services and while I learned a lot in the process, what impressed me is that fact that after I got admitted to Chicago Booth, they actually reached out to me and counseled me on how to extract the most out of my MBA education.

I decided on an MBA perhaps a tad late than the others, but Anurag would constantly motivate me and encourage me to work harder on my GMAT preparation. Much after the course got over, he would personally tutor me on my verbal section and indeed I did score reasonably well. Gurome's admissions consulting process is unique - these sessions also helped me concretize my future goals. I am at the last leg of my MBA from UCLA and I am a founder of a startup.

... just wanted to let you know that I was also accepted to the UCLA EMBA program starting this Sept. We have quite the UCLA cohort coming from TestPundit ;-). I also wanted to say that the material and instruction I received through TestPundit was very helpful in achieving a 680 on my GMAT. However, the most powerful study tool for me was the TestPundit "Web 2.0" community via PeersNet.
